Yesterday marked my last day at the local yarnstore where I worked for the past 20 months. Appropriate that it was also a Finishing Weekend during which customers were invited to bring their unfinished projects to the store to work on them together in solidarity. Also, I had my picture taken with a giant pickle.
I actually finished this and felted it a couple of weeks ago. Sewing it together was really not that hard, but the 48" of seed stitch over 11 stitches for the strap took some patience (and really made me rethink using seed or moss stitch for the dreaded Berroco Comfort blanket).
And it's beginning to feel alot like August. I taught a class on the benches outside the store for two hours today and the air conditioning never felt so good afterwards.
